Silver star energy: wind power detection in Ningxia region ‘Internet of things’

Nowadays, the remote supervision, analysis and diagnose center of wind power generating units, which are undertaken by Shiqiao Accelerator (Yinchuan) Co.,Ltd., are on trial. The move not only represents a significant improvement in the wind power equipment of this company, but also marks the formal formation of a new model of ‘Internet of things’ services in Ningxia region. In order to meet the demand of monitoring transmission chain of wind power generating units, the gearbox company has made a bold attempt to cooperate with Anhui Rongzhi Rixin Information & Technology Co., Ltd. Through the Internet of things and sensor network technology, to access to the real-time data of wind power generating units, Cloud platform of diagnosis center again to screen, analysis and alarm the received data. Using the professional data analysis and fault diagnosis of Rongzhi company, to determine equipment status, diagnose the cause of the failure, analysis failure reason, then to provide data support to the daily operational decision-making of wind farm and it will be a sharp tool to improve the management efficiency and the economic profit of wind farm. The first batch of observation and control points is located in Mahuang Mountain Wind Farm which is in deep valley of high mountains and suffered from high annual mean wind speed. The project staff of ShiQiao Company, against the wind, rain and snow, visited each unit, with only five days, finished the transformation of fiber network in two wind field, and set up monitoring test points to 6 wind power units, created ‘silver star speed’, embodies the ‘stone efficiency’. On April 12, the diagnose center server received the first group of remote online data packets, and then began to analyze and diagnosis online. The center's operation fills the blank in the field of intelligent equipment operation, and plays an important role in accelerating the integration of the two integrations. Next, the gearbox company will further improve the ‘wind power transmission chain’ service system, actively explore the ‘Internet of things’ development mode, accelerate the strategic transformation and realize sustainable development.
